Terms of Service

The terms governing your use of the GulfServicePros directory.

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website at gulfservicepros.com (the "Site"). The Site is operated by GulfServicePros (referred to as "GulfServicePros," "we," "our," or "us").

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2. What the Site is

GulfServicePros is a directory of Louisiana home service contractors. The Site provides:

  • A searchable, browsable directory of contractor listings
  • Contractor contact information (phone, website, address) sourced from public records
  • Educational content about home services in Louisiana

You can use the Site freely, without creating an account, without providing any personal information, and without paying any fee.

3. What the Site is NOT

GulfServicePros is not a contractor. We do not perform repairs, installations, or any home service work. We do not employ contractors. We do not warrant the work performed by any contractor listed on the Site.

The contractors listed on the Site are independent businesses. Any agreement for services is solely between you and the contractor. We are not a party to that agreement, and we are not a referral service, brokerage, or matchmaker.

We display contractor information for your convenience as a discovery tool. Any decision to contact, hire, or work with a contractor is yours alone.

4. Source of contractor listings

Contractor listings on the Site are sourced from publicly available information, including:

  • Google Business profiles
  • The Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors (LSLBC) public database
  • Other public business records and directories

We display this information as a directory service. Inclusion of a contractor in the directory is not an endorsement, recommendation, or warranty. We do not independently verify most listings.

Some listings may carry a "Verified" badge — see Section 5 for what that means and does not mean.

5. Listings, verification, and what we do not warrant

Listings without a Verified badge have not been independently checked by us. The information shown comes from publicly available sources and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date. We display this information as published by public sources; inclusion is not an endorsement.

Listings with a Verified badge have gone through our verification process, which checks active state licensing (where applicable to the trade), a verifiable physical Louisiana address, and current liability insurance on file at the time of verification. Verification is not continuous — a Verified badge means we checked these things at a point in time. It is not a guarantee of current status, work quality, or fitness for any specific job.

For any contractor — verified or not — you should independently confirm:

  • Current state license status at lslbc.louisiana.gov
  • Current insurance coverage
  • Pricing, availability, and scope before committing
  • Any other information material to your decision

We do not guarantee:

  • The accuracy, completeness, or current status of any listing
  • The quality, timeliness, safety, or outcome of any contractor work
  • The accuracy of pricing estimates published on the Site
  • The availability of any specific contractor
  • That a contractor will respond to your inquiries

6. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Site. The Site is intended for use in Louisiana and surrounding states.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, harvest, or extract data from the Site through automated means
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Site
  • Use the Site in any way that violates applicable law or these Terms
  • Interfere with the operation of the Site or impose unreasonable load
  • Submit content that is unlawful, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or harassing
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Use the Site to send unsolicited communications to contractors or other users

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to anyone who violates these terms.

8. Disputes with contractors

Any dispute regarding services performed (or not performed), pricing, scheduling, or quality of work is solely between you and the contractor. GulfServicePros is not responsible for resolving such disputes.

If you have feedback about a contractor listing, you can email support@gulfservicepros.com. We may remove contractors from the directory based on consistent complaint patterns or other factors at our discretion, but we make no guarantee of action on any individual complaint.

For disputes involving licensed work performed in Louisiana, you may also file a complaint with the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors at lslbc.louisiana.gov.

9. Contractor listing removal

If you are a contractor and you would like your listing modified or removed, you can request this through our listing removal page or by emailing removal@gulfservicepros.com. We honor reasonable removal requests within 7 business days.

10. Reviews and user content

The Site may display reviews of contractors sourced from public sources (such as Google Business profiles). We do not author these reviews, do not warrant their accuracy, and are not responsible for their content.

If you submit any content directly to the Site (for example, through a future review feature), you grant GulfServicePros a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, display, modify, and distribute that content on the Site.

11. Intellectual property

The Site, including its design, code, original content, and trademarks, is owned by GulfServicePros or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the Site without our written permission.

Contractor business names, logos, and other identifying information remain the property of the respective contractors and are displayed for directory purposes only.

12. Disclaimers

THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

  • THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE
  • INFORMATION ON THE SITE (INCLUDING CONTRACTOR LISTINGS, LICENSING, PRICING, OR AVAILABILITY) WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT
  • ANY CONTRACTOR — VERIFIED OR NOT — WILL PROVIDE QUALITY WORK OR ACCURATE PRICING
  • COST ESTIMATES OR LOCAL PRICING DATA REPRESENT WHAT YOU WILL ACTUALLY PAY

CONTRACTOR INFORMATION IS SOURCED FROM PUBLIC RECORDS AND MAY BE INCOMPLETE OR OUT OF DATE. VERIFY LICENSING AT LSLBC.LOUISIANA.GOV AND CONFIRM ALL DETAILS DIRECTLY WITH THE CONTRACTOR BEFORE HIRING.

PRICING RANGES PUBLISHED ON THE SITE ARE GENERAL ESTIMATES BASED ON LOCAL MARKET DATA AT THE TIME OF PUBLICATION. ACTUAL PRICING DEPENDS ON YOUR SPECIFIC SITUATION AND THE CONTRACTOR YOU HIRE.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, GULFSERVICEPROS AND ITS OPERATORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SITE.

IN NO EVENT WILL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SITE EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).

THIS LIMITATION APPLIES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THESE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GulfServicePros and its operators, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:

  • Your access to or use of the Site
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party right
  • Any dispute between you and a contractor

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Orleans Parish, Louisiana, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. The "Effective date" at the top reflects the most recent update. Material changes will be communicated through a prominent notice on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, the provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will remain in effect.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

19. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and GulfServicePros regarding the Site.
