Remove or correct a listing
For contractors who want their listing removed from GulfServicePros or have information that needs to be corrected.
Who this is for
This page is for contractors whose business is listed in the GulfServicePros directory. If you are not the owner or authorized representative of a listed business, this is not the right page — see our contact page for general inquiries.
What we do with removal requests
When we receive a verified removal request:
- We mark the listing as removed within 7 business days
- The listing no longer appears in search results, city pages, or service pages
- The listing URL returns a "removed" status (visitors who had bookmarked it see a clear notice)
- We do not re-add a removed listing without your explicit request
What we do with correction requests
When we receive a correction request (for example, your phone number changed, your service area expanded, your hours updated):
- We update the listing within 7 business days
- We may ask for documentation if the correction involves licensing claims or significant business detail changes

Verifying the request
To prevent abuse (someone removing a competitor's listing, for example), we may verify your relationship to the business before processing a removal. Common verification methods:
- Reply to a confirmation email sent to the business's public contact email
- A phone callback to the business's public phone number
- A photo of recent business correspondence on letterhead
Most removal requests are processed without additional verification. We reach out for verification only when something looks unusual.
Where listings come from
For context: contractor listings on GulfServicePros are sourced from publicly available business records — primarily Google Business profiles, the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors public database, and similar public sources. We display this information as a directory service.
If you'd prefer your business not be listed, that's entirely your call. Submit a removal request and we'll honor it.
